Sky Sports + app
Does anyone know if the forthcoming Sky Sports + app will be available on the V6 software or just TV360? Also will we be getting all the bells and whistles or will it just be some kind of trimmed down version, i.e. like the EFL midweek game selection on V6 is a load of scrap and only in SD, and usually unreliable with wrong audio or games switching back to the beginning at half time?

No it won't be available on V6 , Virgin are sending out emails about it to Sky Sports subscribers offering you the chance to update to TV 360 at no extra cost + TV 360 remote.

Re: Sky Sports + app
Sounds like a cunning plan to highlight the positives of moving to TV360 whilst completely ignoring the negatives

That's a case of 2+2=5
VM are using various marketing weasel-wording to encourage migrations to TV360, and this is just the latest.
The Sky Sports HD multiscreen that TV360 has, has already been confirmed as coming to V6 at some point - my guess would be autumn, but who knows.
I'm yet to work out exactly what extra functionality Sky Sports+ has, over & above this. But no-one has yet said it will not also come to V6, albeit delayed.

Re: Sky Sports + app
Over on the VM forums, the staff have specifically said it WILL be on V6 boxes once they update the software.

They've said this for the HD multiscreen that's being used for tennis, and also F1 AIUI.
As per previous post, the differences between this & SkySport+, seem hard to fathom from the marketing releases so far.

It's crap anyway by all accounts. Streams breaking down, commentary disappearing. Better pirate streams out there.

Not encounted any loss of commentary.
Nothing broke down on Tuesday/Wednesday, at least not on the cup matches I watched (inc penalties).
Streams can sometimes freeze for 1/2 seconds, thats a general streaming issue, on "pirate" streams as well, esp over home Wi-Fi.
