Call from Virgin.
Had a call from virgin 2 days ago. Saying cos I'm a loyal customer and been with them for almost 16 years they have added 4 extra channel packs to my account for 50p extra for 18 months and one of the pack is sky sports hd.
Once the 18 months is up the full package price is more than £170

They are very manipulative because they want the commission.
I had a call saying "We are going to upgrade you to Mega TV" as if I had no choice. I replied that they wouldn't be doing anything without my permission. She never mentioned i'd lose TNT Sports and told lots of lies to try and get me to change. I have reported this to my contact at the office of the CEO, but I doubt it'll make any difference with this company.
One thing that you should check is that the price quoted is only 50p more and tjat you are getting what you were told you would.
There have been numerous cases where people are paying a higher price and/or not getting what was promised. When they ask for a recording of the phone call ot's 'not available'.
