Windows secury ? I presume you mean Security ?

I use the built in Windows Security software and then when I feel like it, I run Spybot and Malwarebytes.

As long as you are sensible with your browsing etc you should be fine.

I used run Mcafee 8.0 (That ran the best on 98se) and it didnt really bog anything down and I only have 56.8Megs of physical Ram.....

I finally just duimped it because w/o it running things are even faster and I am tech savy and have stuff pretty locked down......

Mcafee will slow your PC down way more than the built in windows protection.

56MB RAM jeez are you using a pocket calculator. I have 32GB of fast DDR5 RAM. nothing will slow me down.

Windows 11 protection has certainly come a long way since the 90s.

A person can't be as fast as software. Especially when spyware and malware can be hidden in software or code on websites. Always better to have that added protection.
