Boy done well with the NI deal but had to laugh at how much he must be wishing Biden hadn't mentioned his Californian house.

He's a Stanford man, and he still has a home here in California," said Biden to Sunak - who had been polishing on his diplomatic fixed grin to evident effect. Biden kept going: "That's why I'm being very nice to you, maybe you can invite me to your home in California."
The prime minister's aides had been very firm that there would be no visit to the Santa Monica Sunak residence, around 115 miles away.

Biden continued: "But all kidding aside, I think it's an historic day for our countries."

Surgeons are all going/gone. Playing golf .... Getting jobs abroad...
People that started working on their 20's, specializing on say, organ transplants, there is no reason to stay at work and get penalized with taxes. People with 130K salaries in London, ain't rich people. Even Corbyn's house is 1 million.

 | Not sure I know many people who "started working on their 20's, specializing on say, organ transplants" I would agree with exceptional cases to address NHS staffing issues but not a universal uplift for who are, let's face it, very comfortably off. The money lost is better redirected to other more compelling areas.

Basically nobody is allowed to retire or claim benefits. They want us all working on low wages forever to fund current pensioners/Tory voters.

The budget is shit. Putting up corporation tax will put prices up = inflation. That's because companies will want to offset the additional profit tax via increased prices so that their net after tax is at least the same. The average punter is the loser, again.
John Redwood is absolutely right: reduce Corporation Tax to 15% (matching Ireland) and then see where the investment goes.
