So let me get this straight, Person A tries to offer you a deal, which you don’t take. Person B offers you an even better deal and you come off the phone not realising the obvious call centre tactic being played that the current person is offering you the best deal ever, and sceptical of any better ones.

Then disbelieve what I said- that's fine. Others may find the information useful or will be prepared to take the time to check out what's going on for themselves by looking for examples of similar incidents on the internet.
