Four boys die in icy lake
Seems everyone is only concerned with politics these days.
Four boys who died after falling into an icy lake have been named.
Two of them were brothers, and a third a cousin of them.
The poor parents must be devestated.

Re: Four boys die in icy lake
Losing one child must be painful enough, but losing two, gut wrenchingly tragic. But also their cousin too, & so close to Christmas as well.
I believe the 10 year old, wasn’t part of the group and went to rescue them, and he also ended up losing his life, little hero.

An absolute tragedy. Really hope parents are ramming home the message about playing about near open water and especially ice. There have been a couple of near misses on our estate over the past week with kids having to be hauled back up the river bank after getting stuck in thick mud.

Re: Four boys die in icy lake
I felt so sad when I heard this in the news.
I can't begin to imagine what the families have been going through. My thoughts and prayers go out to them all.
It is so important to tell your children about these dangers....And they can be dangers that often don't appear as dangers.

We walk to school along a canal, which has been frozen all week. Believe me, I have rammed it home twice a day, every day, this week.
