From the web:
I've just invented a new business. I'm going to refurbish the dinghies coming up the beach around Dover and hire them out to people who want to go the other way.

My £5 is on Penny Mordaunt.
Don’t get me wrong I would find the return of Boris absolutely hysterical, but it won’t happen.

100 MPs probably means no Boris Johnson?

Re: Liz Truss Resigns [Who'll be the next Prime Minister?]
I received this from the Party Chairman:
Quote:
Today the Prime Minister notified His Majesty The King of her resignation as the Leader of the Conservative Party.
She delivered on energy bills, on cutting National Insurance and she stood with Ukraine.
The Prime Minister’s resignation means we will have a leadership election to elect the next Leader of the Conservative Party.
Over the coming days, the Parliamentary Party will vote to decide the final two candidates who will participate in a member ballot.
We will be in touch with further information related to the members ballot in due course.
Timescales are tight but this will ensure we remain on the path to deliver our fiscal plans and maintain our country’s economic stability and national security.

WTF?

In a large field of 4 or 5 credible candidates only Rishi can get that.

Re: Liz Truss Resigns [Who'll be the next Prime Minister?]
Boris managed the coronavirus well. Boris made Brexit happen. Boris responded statesmanlike to Ukraine. A fine from Plod is neither here nor there. Nor is some bloke's sexual indiscretion.
PM is a tough job. He did well under pressure most PM's never experience.
He would win the public vote. End of.
