Homemade Mac & Cheese (with added Chorizo for my portion), washed down by a lovely Shiraz (Atkins Farm McLaren Vale).

Did a barbie on Saturday for 37 people. Lots of people brought salads and drinks I cooks pork souvla on the foukou barbie, some Greek/Cypriot sausage and chicken drumsticks then haloumi on the other unit.Far too much food, seems mature students eat a lot less than I'd expect.
Great fun though, children playing, did treasure hunt for the, and super weather. Was praying no rain as 37 would make our semi a tad crowded.

Just been to a wonderful restaurant called Nautika, just outside the Old City walls in Dubrovnik (at the Pile Gate) - we were sat outside on the terrace, overlooking the City Walls and the Adriatic.
I had Tortellini mushroom selection and cheese with black istrian truffle flakes for starters, Beef Charolais Fillet, puree and celery chips, baby corn, beetroot, mushroom sauce for main, and Zacapa Affogato for dessert, which was a twist on the standard Affogato by substituting Guatemalan Rum for Amaretto.

Some red wine may have been drunk (a local Zinfadel, Korta Katarina, Pelješac 2018).

We finished off the meal with some complimentary liqueurs - I had a herb-infused grappa, which cleansed the palate (and my teeth, tbf).

Very, very nice…

(Here’s the Michelin Guide page on it - https://guide.michelin.com/hr/en/dub...aurant/nautika )
