Change channels very remotely!
First time this happened I thought one of the dogs hit the remote, this time remote was in my eye line . When I move( is pushed to wipe underneath, around 6" no more) the TV the channel changes, the box is in cupboard below so not touched.

Re: Change channels very remotely!
May be IR interference from the TV screen reflecting off you as you move near it.

Re: Change channels very remotely!
Doesn't the V6 remote operate by radio not IR? Doesn't need to be pointed at the box. Can even work in separate rooms.

Re: Change channels very remotely!
It can do both. The remote sends IR until you've paired it with the box, then changes to radio. But the box will still happily receive IR signals too.
If IR noise affecting the box is problematic, you can block the IR receiver on the front on the box once you've paired the remote.

Re: Change channels very remotely!
So you move the remote and the channel changes? That sounds like a contact being made in the remote. Is a button partially stuck down perhaps?

Ah I had to reread to understand that.
So you lifted the TV? Did you accidentally touch the channel up/down buttons on the side of the TV set?

No but why would up down channel button on TV change channel on a V6 ? Anyway the channel change would gone to Freeview , or other smart TV choices l would guess never tried to do that on the TV ,also it was moved via the stand not the frame . Guess spiderplant has hit the nail on the head. The poor dogs got it in the neck the first time

Re: Change channels very remotely!
On two occasions I've got up early and found the tv on with the dog on the sofa watching it - he often lies watching the screen. On one occasion the remote was next him so I though he had sat on it - but the second time the remote was still on the coffee table.
