Re: Novak Djokovic tries to go to Oz
Aside from breaking quarantine rules, he also made " mistakes" on his immigration forms.
In short, he lied about his travels, then tried to blame his agent.
Quote:
Djokovic also admitted making a false declaration on his travel form prior to entering Australia
|
Quote:
He said his agent had made a mistake when filling in a section of the form that covered his recent travel history.
|
Quote:
The form stated that he had not travelled in the 14 days before his arrival in Australia.
But recent reports suggest the 34-year-old was in both Serbia and Spain prior to the trip.

An expletive-laden conversation between two Australian newsreaders on Novak Djokovic's visa saga has gone viral, after a video of it was leaked online.

Well if he retires from tennis, he already seems to have the basic attributes for a successful role in politics ahead of him.

Re: Novak Djokovic tries to go to Oz
Stop it with the stupid names.
So Australia is now a Banana Republic of absolute tyranny. A judicial ruling, unilaterally overturned by a single minister. Should not be legally allowed.
A professional world number 1 player, discriminated against because of his medical status. Two world wars and we go back to this disgrace of a dictatorship.

Countries requiring a vaccine against things like Yellow Fever, Polio and so on as a requirement for entry have been around for ages.
And there are exemptions Djokovic would have qualified for if he didn't lie on his entry form.

he's an antivaxxer with crackpot ideas and because he thinks he is someone he expects not to be questioned like any other normal person would be on entry to Oz. millions in Oz suffered restricted movement and isolation under some of the most draconian measure to prevent spread. why should he get free reign?

You must be seething then at the Nationality and Borders Bill where the UK Home Secretary can alone strip UK citizens of their nationality with no right of appeal if it is 'too difficult' to notify them
