Yes, especially with the media. If they said there was a shortage of jobs would these spaffers queue up?

Fuel supply always was normal - normal enough, anyway. It was the inane public response to a series of highly irresponsible media reports that was abnormal.
As soon as all the lemmings had filled their tanks, their jerrycans and every empty milk bottle they could get their hands on, the laws of physics dictated that buying patterns would inevitably return to normal.

Maybe they're putting less on a roll, so customers have to buy two now

No - it's the shortage of toilet paper that's causing this!

You can buy tin foil and toilet paper at your local petrol station

Re: Panic at the Pumps
Many years ago I went to North Weald market.
I bought serval catering sized Foil and cling film boxes.

I am pleased to report that Waitrose, Wokingham has good tinfoil stocks on display. Even after our visit.

Re: Panic at the Pumps
I’m beginning to think it should be a criminal offence to create the illusion of shortages looming to create panic buying.
As soon as my wife arrives back from Asda with the tin foil, I will go down to suggest this to my MP.
