How to connect Wireless-N Wifi Repeater

As some may already know I have bought a Wireless-N Wifi Repeater, but unfortunately the instructions are confusing (I'm easily confused). It wants to know my network user name and password eh? I've tried putting in the password etc that's on the router but no joy, please help.

Re: How to connect Wireless-N Wifi Repeater

So you have tried the SSID and WiFi combo ? or does the app want you to create a log in for some reason ?

Edit it is not a log in sorry I misread

When you log in using your phone or other device there is the network name . If it is default it will be VM then some numbers iirc. Use that as the user and then your normal wifi password

you could connect via WPS perhaps?

Re: How to connect Wireless-N Wifi Repeater

Sorry Jaymoss can you be a little less technical, I don't understand these abreviations, here is a screen print. So what user name and password are they asking for?

Re: How to connect Wireless-N Wifi Repeater

That looks like it wants you to create a log in so just create one and see what happens

Re: How to connect Wireless-N Wifi Repeater

Try putting the myrepeater.net into address bar rather than search. The address you have looks like some sort of external connectivity test.

If I try to go to myrepeater.net I get directed to nowhere with warnings.

something like this may well be a solution. I know it is a lot more but it should be simple to set up using an app on an android or iso mobile. The cube goes by your router then the other unit plugs in and you should get an easy to follow wizard in the app

or this one

https://smile.amazon.co.uk/Tenda-Wi-...847486&sr=8-19

the beauty of this is the second node is prepared with the main cube so once the cube is set up it is all go and as I said it should be a simple wizard to follow

Next time you decide to do this ask here first to avoid buying something that's not great.
