Re: Dud Purchases
Cobra 148 user here too, modded for all the channels you'd need plus a 4 element quad on a large pole.
Sometimes wish I still had them, but it's easier to chat globally with the internet now

Re: Dud Purchases
I bought Anti fog wipes for my glasses not to steam up when wearing them. I was recommended them by Vision Express.
They r useless.

I've bought a couple of TV's that are 3D capable - but thats not the reason I bought them.
Ive never used that functionality, they just happened to come with it - they work perefctly fine as normal TVs as well.

I still have my [modded] Superstar 2000 (which was very similar to the C148).
Just no ariel, no SWR meter, or anything else now, its probably 35+ years since I last used it.

I bought Anti Fog wipes from Boots Opticians ( not Boots the Chemist)and they work fine, they are made by Leica.

I bought one deliberately for it a few years ago and enjoyed gaming in 3D. I prefer my ultra wide screen more not though and that cost more than the TV

Re: Dud Purchases
TU trainer socks from Sainsbury's. The part that fits to your ankle is not properly finished so the damn things shuffle down inside the trainers. Do not buy. They're complete rubbish.
