Stellaris. Didn't really bother with this when it was released as I am generally not into space games but was persuaded by my son to give it a go online with him and some friends.

Dying Light. Played it years ago on PC but my son persuaded me to try it on X-box One despite me being hopeless initially with the controller. Now I can't keep off it. Son refuses to play with me online though (not that i'd be much help) as it would ruin his street cred.
