Bulk Renaming
Does anyone know any programs that allows bulk renaming of files.
For example Jpeg files that are named 001, 002, 003 etc i wish to rename a001, a002, a003 etc.
Thanks

Re: Bulk Renaming
Total Commander allows bulk renaming, and you can do regular expression replacements, additions, etc. It's very powerful.

Re: Bulk Renaming
Take Command from JPsoftware.
Supports the bulk renaming of files with extensive wildcarding functions.
TCC/LE is a lighter free version ( I use instead of CMD ) that runs in a traditional command window.
Used this for a long time and also its 16bit forbear: 4DOS.

Re: Bulk Renaming
Best to use DOS, for example if the files are all in a directory with your case above, ren *.jpg *a.jpg should do the trick. You might need to enter the full file name
