Planning a dinner for Saturday - we were hoping to have a nice crowd but no-one could come but then suddenly one of my wife's clan asked to come on that date...
 Menu
 Snacks with Cava/Prosecco

Garlic/chilli prawns and Asian salad with New Zealand Pinot Gris

Pho - Vietnamese broth with slices of steak and noodles

Thai Red Curry - chicken - Chilean Merlot

 Dessert is being brought

 Cheese with Valpolicella Superiore Ripasso

 Coffee, chocs, port etc.

I've already done the curry (they improve with maturing) and made the broth for the pho.

Just been out to Tharavadu, a very nice Keralan restaurant in Leeds city centre.
 I had -
Kidilan Erachi - lamb cubes cooked in freshly ground spices and sautéed with onions
Adu Cheera Mappas - boneless lamb cubes cooked with fresh spinach and Kerala special sauce, with plain rice mixed with fresh coconut, white lentils, cashew nuts and curry leaves

Washed down by a couple of pints of Monsoon IPA from Leeds Brewery.

 Yummy...

 | Why do all Indian (and similar) not serve curried meat on the bone as it would be done in their homes? You get much tastier sauces and meat. Oh, probably because most Brits don't want the hassle of nibbling round bones but it you are eating with you hands anyway, not much extra work!
