Not really something to brag about when it has been cancelled. Maybe if it does well on Amazon they'll try and buy it and keep it going. Tbh i think this is what should happen with all series, it is only a fair way for networks/the people who fund them to gauge true interest and $$$ revenue. HBO know GoT was hugely popular in the US but also hugely popular globally and as such made it available to global broadcasters. I dont understand why series like Swamp Thing arent broadcast on a US network like NBC and arrange for another service to air it internationally. We have seen many a time with movies (e.g. Alita Battle Angel and The Great Wall) where they flop in the US and it is international markets which hold them up.

I think they missed a trick not getting him back to play Superman in Supergirl. It will be interesting to see how many people recognise him though. Coincidentally I am working my way through Smallville atm (currently at season 6) and the other day I looked him up on imdb. Sometimes you see actors move onto other things quickly like Buffy, Willow and Lana but I hadn't seen Tom in anything since Smallville. Turns out he is in Lucifer which I don't watch but he looks completely different now. I didn't recognise him at first and thought it was Karl Urban. It is funny how people like Lana still look exactly the same yet Tom is completely different.

		| Earlier this week, reports came out that a reboot of the beloved 2000s "Battlestar Galactica" was in the works and headed for NBCUniversal's new streaming service. As much as this had us scratching our heads and asking why, we were also intrigued by the fact that "Mr. Robot" and "Homecoming" showrunner Sam Esmail would be in charge. Thankfully, Esmail came out and cleared everything up, explaining that his series would not be a reboot, but a new story within the "Battlestar" mythology. Whew! Another bit of good news from Esmail: Ronald D. Moore has given the project his blessing. | from IMDB

Yeah I read it as a continuation in a different part of the universe, presumably to make it worthy of being in the universe they'll have things like Cylons and references to the events that took place in Galactica.
Galactica would be interesting now as the original reboot took place just as television was becoming more 'serious, audiences were trusted more and the budgets were increasing. A few years later they would have likely gotten bigger budgets and been allowed to do fewer episodes per season

I never saw it as being money deprived and I definitely don't want fewer episodes. You can call it a soap in space if you want to as many people do with B5. I want to immerse myself in the universe and I loved the 20 episode seasons; the more the merrier.

		| Deborah Chow has helmed several episodes of the 'Star Wars' spinoff series 'The Mandalorian' ahead of its Disney+ bow Nov. 12. This is the director Obi-Wan has been looking for. Deborah Chow, who directed episodes of the upcoming Star Wars TV series The Mandalorian, is returning to the far-away galaxy and will direct the series featuring the popular character Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Ewan McGregor is returning as the Jedi Master for the series Lucasfilm is making for Disney+, the stand-alone $7 streaming service that the company is launching Nov. 12.

Chow has proved herself in the elevated genre space in cable series. In addition to two episodes of Mandalorian, she has directed and worked on shows such as American Gods, Better Call Saul, Lost in Space, Jessica Jones, Reign and Mr. Robot.

I don't know how many people watched it but back in 2001 ish there was a series called Birds of Prey and Ashley Scott is reprising her role. They have apparently approached Michael Rosenbaum (aka Lex Luthor from Smallville) about appearing as well but he said thanks but no thanks. It would be fantastic to get all the old actors back, it would be like the DC tv version of Endgame. I haven't read anything about Lana yet, I am keeping my fingers crossed.
