Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2019)
I've not watched WWE since 2005/6, I'm from the WWF Attitude era of Cactus Jack and his use of barbed wire, and when it slowly went PG I lost interest, I enjoyed it in 2000 as some of it was on Channel 4 so could watch it overnight from my analogue TV near my bed.
Also I do have a picture of the Channel 4 message, but if MB is not seeing it I'm wondering if it it's a channel swap for certain Channel 4 ad regions?

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2019)
I may drop the PPVS after Wrestlemania due the storylines becoming an joke.
I am starting to think Virgin Media has took the WWE over.

I wonder if they'll do 4Seven HD at the same time...as it's on all packages and has no regional advertising it's a fairly obvious one to switch.

l hope Channel 4 does not come just HD only as HD is like a sponge soaking up even more recording space.

None of the main PSB channels are HD only...there are the AD versions from 851-856 and regional variations from 861-865.
And on top of that, for other channels (e.g. GOLD), you can use the +1 channels.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2019)
That's what i'm doing. It's all very well VM freeing up more bandwidth by closing their SD channels and then giving us a 1TB box. For HD only i'd expect at least 2TB.
BBC News & CBBC leave me with no choice but to record in HD

That's only for certain parts of the country for now. It's Channel 4 London that's changing to HD on 104, so it'll be anyone that gets that version of Channel 4.
Channel 4 for other regions is staying as both SD and HD for now.

They have specialist programmes too, apart from the news. If I can, I record overnight from the BBC1 SD simulcast.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2019)
Can you not use BBC iPlayer to review the specialist programmes?

I thought 2 more regional versions of C4 HD were incoming? Will those be switched in those regions?

The Film Review , The Travel Show and Click (technology) are all very good. These may be among what Richard is referring to.

You can. I often use it to fill in spare 15 mins with The Film Review.

Never watch those channels, but agree with you 1Tb is miserly - even worse when you consider recording in UHD.
Had 2 x 2Tb Sky boxes for several years before joining virgin.

Had a look on my box and no popup notification about that change here but I agree logically it would be a good one to do.

Yep, two of those are amongst the programmes that I record as I prefer it to streaming.

Any reason why, Richard?
I use both methods to keep my recordings down. The only disadvantage seems to be that on demand dictates that you watch programmes over a limited time period, although stuff like 'Click' and 'The Film Review' tend to remain on the i-Player for a year before being removed.
