Can I run a single Virgin Tivo over Cat5e to multiple TVs?

I had Virgin Media (Full House Bundle) installed last week. I have Cat5e cabling to a number of faceplates on different floors where I want to put TVs. The cables all terminate where my new Tivo box is installed.

I am a complete non-technical novice, and think I may have made a major error.

a) I was told I can connect my Tivo box to a distribution panel, which will then connect to the faceplates. Can anyone recommend a suitable device?

b) If I have a number of remote TVs connected to my Tivo box over Cat5e, how can I operate the Tivo box from different rooms?

c) Can 2 people watch different channels, stream music, Netflix simultaneously on different TVs from the single Tivo box?

All help and advice will be most welcome. This is my first post. Please be gentle!

			Welcome aboard.
I am not able to help really, but I don't think its possible to do what your asking. However, there are VM staff and other technicians on here who I am sure will be able to give a definitive answer

I believe you can buy devices to stream the output from the Tivo's HDMI to various devices attached via Cat 5e. These devices sometimes can carry the IR signals from the remote to the Tivo. Failing that, if you have an Android smartphone or iPhone/iPad/iPod, Virgin have an app (previously TV Anywhere, now called TV Control) that can control the Tivo.

However, you can only watch one channel, recording or app. If you have the app above, you can watch *some* recordings through the app, but the broadcasters have the option of restricting that.

Unfortunately, the only way I know of to provide the whole Tivo service to multiple users at once is pay for multiple Tivo boxes.

Welcome to the forum, BTW.

I can't advise specific equipment but I believe this is possible, it may not be cheap though.
I have my V6 going to a second TV using an HDMI splitter and a HDMI over 2 x Cat6 cables interface, it works well for me and has done for many years.

You can now get HDMI to work over a single Cat6 cable (probably Cat5e too) but the box of tricks needs a power supply. You can also get a distribution box for this to go to several TVs, I'm sure Lindy do these but you need to check.

This set up will be one feed in and multiple out so all TVs will show the same channel, no twin outputs on the V6 unfortunately.
