I suppose the alternative to that is to put all UHD programmes on demand. If they do, hopefully they will leave it all on there for at least a year.

The HD picture on Sky Sports F1 is good, but having seen what the UHD picture for the football is like on Sky, I can imagine how good the F1 looks.

I hope they can thrash out a deal soon |

Does the V6 come with self install as i plan to move onto 1 of the new packages when they're available at the end of the month?
Basically i currently have the Tivo in 1 corner of the room and there is a splitter behind it which goes to the Hub3 in another corner of the room.

 | When trying to sort out my mum's package, I was told that the V6 does now comes with self-install.

Self-install is now available for V6, but they may insist on you putting the Hub next to the V6 so they can be connected by Ethernet.

It's just not practical for many people to have their SHUB next to their main TV, I would also need about a 10 metre cable to connect via Ethernet, so it looks like no V6 for me.

They have thought of it, which is why the option of Powerline is there.
But the checks are done at order to ensure that people are fully aware of what needs to happen, and avoid situations where people say they can do a self install, but then end up not having the ability to connect the V6 to the home network.

Both of my V6s are connected via Wi-Fi, no problems at all and no need for Ethernet cables.

Is self install really the only option for you? My two V6s work very well with my superhub in a different room, although I do understand that every case is different.

I hope they can thrash out a deal soon | Sky Q UHD did not record F1 qualifying for many hundreds of users, although the race recording was OK. UHD picture is not that much better on my TV than HD, and remember that only the race was in UHD , build up (grid walk etc) and post race was only available in HD
