 | Oh, I see. Yes, the series record + does pick up on a pretty large number of programmes!

I decided to watch Lucky Man when I saw that series 2 was screening, and the series record + picked up series 1 as well from on demand! Pretty amazing.

 | If you didn't want it to pick up series 1, series link+ allows you to specify a starting series number.

 | You can deselect the streaming option within the SL details if you want to, I've gotten rid of a few shows in my long list by doing this.

Hopefully others will learn from my mistake.

The V6 appears to have an external PSU, hopefully this will help to keep the box cool as I don't believe it has a fan. This might be one reason why the box is smaller too.

The existing Tivo has an external PSU and no fan. Can't comment on the new box.

Something else useful that it seems to be doing; before when I came across a greyed out planned recording, I had to go into the screen for the entry and set it to record it.
Now, as soon as you go into the entry, it appears to assume that you either want to record it or delete it and lists it as to be recorded (it can't be deleted in greyed out mode).

Does the V6 have a optical audio out? I have a 4K telly but only a 1080p AVR so will need optical to have 5.1 as I don't want to buy a new 4K AVR any time soon.

My 4K tv is connected via optical cable to my Blu-ray surround sound. The sound from my TIVO and PS4 all comes through directly without the need to swap any cables.
When I get the V6, I'll just do a straight swap with my current TiVo leaving the optical cable as it is. You won't need to connect the optical cable to your V6 at all.

 | This isnt a option for me as I use Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio on my kodi box and blu rays I would have to change my telly sound options every time.
I have to do it every time I watch 4K on netflix or amazon from the telly have to turn on ARC on and off if I leave it on it limits the AVR to just stereo audio. I can cope with this as currently it's only every friday for grand tour.

Is there an adapter for the "SCART out" included in the box?
It concerns me that the port isn't labelled on the picture so may be disabled:

1. Coax
2. Audio
3. HDMI
4. Ethernet
5. Digital Audio
6. Power
7. On/off switch

My parents have an old TV but they would really benefit from the additional tuners and I think their V+ may be dying.

SCART sockets aren't round so that picture is inaccurate.
