When's the cut-off for not getting the price increase letter/email? I'm fully expecting the sting to come but I've not received any notification yet. At what point can you rest easy?
Just checked my Sky Sports 1 & 2 is £31.75 with Virgin yet if I go to sky via the MSE link it's £27.50 and it includes HD Sports, which Virgin you have to pay extra for. (I know you usually do with SKY but not through the MSE offer) Not much of a saving but could be a clincher.

To be fair I've gone through the MSE link and it's not offering a great deal less than what I'm paying now with Virgin, and i'm not concerned about the free rewards.

I might try a spell living like a caveman and tell Virgin to cut me off everything. Kind of like a social detox...mmmm.

Wish my letter or email would hurry up, going to cancel, had my fill of price rises this year.
Is the timing based around your billing date as to when you get the price rise notification?

 | Sky still charge for HD Sports too. It's £6 a month.

I got a great saving from the MSE offer. Full package cost over £137 and it's only costing me £74.80 which is about £8 less than my VM package which doesn't even include Sports and Movies or a second box.

 | Don't worry about the letter/email, just ring them and tell them you wish to cancel due to the forthcoming price rise. They should just process your request as it's your right within their T&Cs.

Had a call from retentions today. Best offer was £74 if I drop sky cinema and go down to 100mb. Was also offered cinema and sports free 6 months. I politely declined.

VM simply cannot keep increasing prices like this. That eans they have increased pricea FOUR TIME in 18 months.
There are NOT any new channels tthey are putting out. + channels are NOT new channels.

They cannot say that the BB is the best. Our one is rubbish.

They are simply ripping off customers. And while customers keep paying. VM will keep putting prices up. Outrageous.

 | So why are you still a customer? Is it because it gives you one more thing to moan about?

 | Well that is wrong for a start as there have been some new channels, whether you watch them or not.

In 13 years as a customer I only ever had a couple of faults or issues.

They must be increasing prices to pay their staffs wages then
also if you really feel that strongly then leave. Thats what I have done. Sky Q getting installed on the 19th.

Seems like a lot of customers are going to Sky. The problem is if your sky dish moves with strong winds it can cost £50 or £100 to fix.
