I don't think we, of the former British Empire, can critisise them. See we're blaming them for climate change as well, when we've already done the damage.

Might as well blame everything on the Natufian culture then, if we are saying we can't criticise anyone because of historical actions...

I don't recall lending my support to the British Empire or anything which was done in its name.

Are Germans not allowed to criticise what's going on in places like Syria because of what the Nazis did?

Few nations I can think of are free of blame when it comes to historic events, so maybe we should all just mind our own business and not have views on anything outside our borders whether those events are going to affect us or not...

China has deployed surface-to-air missiles on a disputed island in the South China Sea, Taiwan says.

Satellite images taken on 14 February appear to show two batteries of eight missile launchers and a radar system on Woody or Yongxing Island in the Paracels.

The presence of missiles would significantly increase tensions in the acrimonious South China Sea dispute.

China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi said reports were a Western media invention.

An international tribunal has ruled against Chinese claims to rights in the South China Sea, backing a case brought by the Philippines.
The Permanent Court of Arbitration said there was no evidence that China had historically exercised exclusive control over the waters or resources.
China called the ruling "ill-founded" and says it will not be bound by it.
China claims almost all of the South China Sea, including reefs and islands also claimed by others.

The most ridiculous comparison ever .Back when the British Empire was being founded we (the world) didn't know any better ,it was how things were done ,now we know better .I await your next anti British post with anticipation.

Not that I disagree it's a bit pointless to bring it up I am not sure 'we didn't know better'. Pretty sure people in Ireland and India had views on that subject.....

They had the same views as us ,we conquered them to make sure

This has been going on for a few years and is getting more and more contentious with the Japanese and Vietnamese both in dispute currently but as it stands no one is able to do much about it. The damage to the ocean and reefs is significant and China cannot feign ignorance about the damage it is doing but again they don't care and will continue constructing more artificial islands as part of their plan.

The Chinese are quick enough to call other nations Imperialists. Bit different when they're expanding their own empire.

Given the internal problems China has is anyone surprised at them creating external distractions.
