No-one me, you or the cat knows what the future holds but it is obvious on demand is increasing at a quick rate.

I suppose a linear channel could take it to a wider audience via other platforms but do they want to get back into that after selling its channels to Sky.

ESPN in the USA have already set the wheels in motion because they fear the risk of streaming , I accept the USA is a different market as most Sports offer OTT offerings now. Anyone who's used any of the streaming services listed in the article will know the quality is excellent.
https://www.engadget.com/2016/07/01/...with-mlb-deal/ | I use nbcsports extra and the quality is superb on it as is the xfinity streamed channels i sometimes watch too such as HBO, Discovery etc.

However, you have not told us why you think as you do when the overwhelming evidence is that change is coming.

Apart from the shopping channels, which make money for Virgin, no other new channels have appeared on our platform for some time. All new content has been via on demand and streaming services.

Additionally, I have provided articles in another thread that confirm this is the way most TV thinkers and cable companies in the US in particular are thinking.

I can understand the frustration some people feel with the sluggish streaming services on our particular platform, but when you get a Smart TV or a faster service on the new Tivo, you will start to see how attractive on demand viewing really is.

Better to have some bargaining chips then to have nothing to bargain with.

But now that there is Now TV and all the telecoms players offer a TV service (even late-comers to the party like EE and PlusNet) I think it's probably not worth the effort.

I had wondered whether Worldbox was being wound down after two channels were taken off and never replaced a couple of months or so ago; but after reading the above it seems that this is not the case.
 | Can anyone sent us the full list of channels on WorldBox so we can update our blog.

No doubt when this channel launches it will be renamed "The Donald Trump (lets slag off Hilary Clinton even more than we currently do) News Channel"....

I must say since cancelling my sky sub, I do miss Fox News. It's a little reminder that America is more than just the liberal East Coast/Californian view of things. There are other opinions too and Fox News broadcasts those loud and proud. I'm just waiting for one of their presenters to present a show armed with a machine gun...

We were meant to be getting CNN HD and CNN USA too, is that still happening?
