Re: Labour Party Crisis: Corbyn Fires Hilary Benn & LOADS of the Shadow Cabinet Resig

The Tories are known for their disagreements within the party on Europe, the other parties less so. Maybe the other parties need to let go a little more so Corbyn and others in the party can be honest and say what they believe.

True it can cause dissension but, like the Tories, they just get on with it afterwards, a bit of murmuring and deals and back stabbing but they'd cohere nicely when presented with an external "threat".

Well apparently he was asked on what way he voted in the referendum from several Labour MP's and refused to answer the question but the speculation is he voted to leave.

I am having a glorius morning watching the Labour party distroy itself. Long may it continue

Re: Labour Party Crisis: Corbyn Fires Hilary Benn & LOADS of the Shadow Cabinet Resig

Sadly we have a weak disunited government and a weak disunited opposition and that is not a good scenario to have going forward in these very profound important times for this country.

Not ideal. Need a decent opposition to hold government to account. As it is we have neither.

Good drama, not so hot for the country as a whole.

Business secretary and shadow first secretary of state Angela Eagle is the latest to resign from Jeremy Corbyn's front bench.

Re: Labour Party Crisis: Corbyn Fires Hilary Benn & LOADS of the Shadow Cabinet Resig

You reap what you sow.

The Labour Party and its followers can be blamed for the entire scenario the country now finds itself in.

The Labour party forgot who they are supposed to be representing. Politcal correctness and fear to call out the failed immigration policy that impacted the Labour heartlands for fear of being branded racist gave rise to UKIP.

Because UKIP then also threatened the Tory vote, this forced the Torys to offer a referendum in order to head off UKIP.

The Torys won and then had to offer the referendum. Labour supporters voted in Corbyn who was incapable of running a bath let alone a partyfailed to inspire the Labour vote to remain as it was blatently obvious he wanted to leave.

And here we are.

It's all Labours fault.

Must be about at the end of the cabinet resignations. There's hardly anyone left to resign.

My mistake. Kate Green, Shadow Women's Minister just quit.
