Yup, the election officer at my local polling station said it had been busy down there, and that really is saying something in our neck of the woods.

I believe we do now have an Act of Parliament requiring a referendum before any new EU treaty can be ratified.

It greatly concerns me that many Christians don't understand the spiritual aspect behind the EU, which I mentioned in the faith thread and is summed up perfectly by this video that I posted there.
The Rape of Europe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=66uCnNwLJtM
It is not a coincidence that the EU Parliament building is modelled on the 16th century painting of the tower of Babel by Pieter Bruegel, and even represents the unfinished part. And that a 90s poster for the EU showed people rebuilding the tower of Babel. The Tower of Babel, Biblically, represents the first attempt at a One World Government. The EU, in my view is part of what's going on globally to try to lay the foundations for the future One World Government, which the devil eventually brings about in the end times.
It is worrying, that many Christians don't believe that the spiritual battle, that the Bible talks about, is real.

If the promises made by Cameron prove to be untrue, all we can hope for is that there is a massive switch to UKIP and other anti-EU parties in the MEP elections.
There is considerable opposition to the EU in other EU countries and if this can be mobilised maybe they can become the dominant force in the EU and change policy.

yes they will.
If they have a clear manifesto that a vote for them is a vote to leave the EU, and they are elected on that mandate - then so be it.

They can't, any country can leave at any time they want.

A straw poll on the petrol forecourt today; previous Brexiters now deciding 'better the devil you know'. How predictably British. Had to wait a while as well , there seems to be panic buying of fuel for some reason..

re: [Update] The UK votes to leave the EU
Just been listening to a group of 10+ college students discussing this in the pub. Sadly, the 'we won't be able to go on holiday in Europe if we leave the EU' argument was popular...

Policy certainly needs to be changed regardless of the result of today's vote. It's a ticking time bomb.

Let's hope they don't just decide we don't need that anymore while the parliamentary majority supports staying in...

re: [Update] The UK votes to leave the EU
If people were that worried there would be panic buying and hoarding. I can't see how anyone can sit here and say this is happening and that is happening regarding the referendum. I do notice it's all coming from the remainers in here though.

Let's hope our exit poll here reflects the mood of the country 60-40 in favour of leave
at the moment.

It is not modelled on the Tower of Babel - just because Glenn Beck said so, doesn't make it true*....
There are hundreds of buildings of that design, and I've seen some of them in this and other countries - are they all based on the Tower of Babel?
The Tower of Babel is a myth, anyway...
*in fact, if he states something, it usually isn't true...

Fair enough, what area was this? How long was the queue of cars? Just a rough estimate, from the entrance to the garage forecourt how long was the queue of cars down the road? 200 meters? 300? or how many cars long would you guess it was? 50 cars in a queue? 100?
