I hope we remain and I think a result that close will be the best outcome for the country as it'll keep the pressure on

I really don't mind the different opinions in this debate, it's the lies and BS I have a problem with.

re: [Update] The UK votes to leave the EU
Whichever side wins i hope it's a big win .As a country we need to put this to bed and get on with the day to day running of the country .We still have massive austerity measures ,the economy is still shaky and the Tories will probably tear themselves apart ,the last thing we need is a split decision on the referendum

This is right, regardless what people think of him now, if not for him, we wouldn't even have a referendum.
He's accomplished his mission, it's now down to the rest of us to accomplish ours.

We might produce them, but we don't own them.

Some FACTS about immigration

And who pays for the Brits who are treated abroad? Even in this country different areas of the UK argue over who pays for some things. Example. My wife had a stroke in 2005 while she was in Kent as her sister had died. She was treated in Canterbury hospital and transferred to Edinburgh when we lived there and all they could row about was who paid for the ambulance. I think, though I have to do some research, that we pay for treatment to our citizens abroad or at least contribute to it.

I did not say I believed it, I said it was plausible. It is actually a sick attempt to influence the vote.

My sentiments exactly, however, he was preaching to the converted. That's the kind of speech he should have been making all along and on the debates.

Keep the faith all you who want to leave the EU. I've got a good feeling about this. Independence is only 15 hours away.

re: [Update] The UK votes to leave the EU
Would the NHS have a long term future is we vote remain?
I don't see how the NHS could survive with a remain vote. How can you have only 1 member "state" with a free health care system. Wouldn't that be like launching a NHS style free health care system in lets say Florida but the rest of America has a pay as you go/ private insurance system?
Surely the entire USA would just move or try to move to Florida for the free health care?
