If you watch it on demand, you get 720P resolution.
But I'm surprised none of the rumours of channels testing on VM have come right. I thought those QVC channels would definitely land.

I don't know, but there has been speculation that this might morph into the HD variant of Viceland.

Yes, so possibly unlikely that this channel will be canned.

Look out for offers on Amazon sometimes on todays deals as there are none there currently but l have just noticed this one on the normal Amazon searches and although its not £20 its certainly not £40.

Yes, worth checking back in a couple of weeks on Argos, also Tesco and Amazon.

No it isn't. I've a 42" Sony and a Now TV first gen box and the PQ is 720p for the On Demand service and is very, very good. The live streams are less impressive but who watches live TV these days??

Or eBay - you can buy six month Entertainment vouchers for under £20.

I'd tend to agree, I've used the Now TV box on 6 TVs ranging in size from 21" to 42" and have not had any problem with the picture quality. I did use the live sports once and it was a bit poor but I understand that live sports streaming is now 720p also.
That said there probably would be a marked difference if I was to do a side by side comparison between Now TV and an 1080i delivery from Sky/VM but I'm just happy to have the content I have at a price I think is great value, I guess that weighs up quite heavily against paying more for 1080i quality.

Completely agree too, really impressed with Now TV since I got one in the Amazon Christmas deals. PQ is very good at 720p, I only watch on catch up/box sets so cannot comment on live TV PQ but might give it a watch to check.
There must be another issue for Mad Max to say PQ is bad???

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin Media TV (2016) Vol 2
I got an email from virgin this morning saying I was going to get a box swap for my V+ box. I'd already been told that mine wasn't needing swapped as it could keep getting the HD channels. I get the feeling it's getting changed to get rid of old tivo stock before the new one comes out

And for those fortunate to have an Apple TV the pic quality for live is 720p for all channels

Interesting but I think that's to retain you as a customer and better to replace it before it stops working through old age. Still six months or more before the new Tivo is launched and no indications that the existing Tivo will be discontinued then.
