SH2 2.5ghz signal unstable

Hi all can anyone please advise me on a potential fault on our SH2,

I have it in router mode duel band,

The 5ghz signal is fine however whenever I connect to the 2.5ghz signal it is very slow and unresponsive,

I've tried changing the channel (no other routers in the channel) and tried a reboot but it's still the same

Any help greatly appreciated

that is because 2.5ghz doesn't exist and it is 2.4ghz

joking aside though, if all of your devices can connect on 5ghz (which also allows higher throughput) why are you trying to use 2.4ghz? I doubt there is going to be a fault with the shub but the only way you are going to find out (if you really want to) is to test the connection at different ranges from the shub and also different angles because it is possible the antennae aren't in the right position for where you are currently testing from. If none of that works and you really want to be able to use 2.4ghz then you will need to test with a third party router and see if you have better luck. Tbh though, if your wireless needs are so great that you want to use both bands simultaneously then you might want to consider getting a more high performance router anyway; definitely an ac and maybe even a tri router.

Firstly, what is on the other end of the wan connection?

Also, how are you determining that the channels you choose are free?

When connected over the 2.4GHz channel try pinging the router from the connected device. Do 20 pings and post the min/ max and average here (or all of the ping responses).

What devices are you trying to connect to the 2.4 band? Some older devices may not cooperate well.
