I think that will be wishful thinking with sky it's £299 without sky premium and broadband and £99 with and no second box due to sky q mini
So I think charging more than sky is a bad idea when wont get access to sky movies and sports and f1 4k

I think Virgin could even give that info but when you ask customer services and sales despite press release they know nothing

Is that a definite?
Has it been announced that we won't be getting this? Would be a shame.

Well sky sports F1 in 4K is a confirmed sky exclusive so I assume they will got the same way with movies and sports, remember HD at the start
" Sky has officially confirmed that it will show the Formula 1 race season in 4K Ultra High Definition from next year
.
The 4K race coverage will be delivered exclusively via the latest Sky Q service from Sky. This is available now but won't get used for 4K UHD viewing until this summer, around the time of the Premier League football season kick-off.
At the moment the only broadcast of 4K content is from BT Sport, which roughly offers an event each weekend to its customers.
Sky has not given specifics on 4K availability but presumably only Sky Q subscribers will have access to the events.

If we can't even get sky sports and movies 4K Virgin need to think about pricing and before we upgrade tell us the truth

Typical Sky....
F1 and the football would look great in 4K.
Did it say on one the new Tivo articles that VM will offer live 4K content? Maybe I mis-read something.

That's likely to be bt sport 4K but sky will give nothing but if they do for us it will be a premium charge

Depending how big the competition is will depend what sky gives for us to watch
"With all these shiny new functions Sky Q is currently top of its class but it could be about to get serious competition from arch-rivals Virgin Media"

You've kind of answered your own question , why would Sky want to make a competitor's offering more compelling.
You can have the best 4K box in the world but in the end it's the 4K content that will sell the service and Sky know that.

Exactly so if virgin are selling a new box but has no premium features then
1. Customers will wonder why another sky premium increase we don't have 4K
2. Well either the box is still a good price or hey just stick with TiVo
3. Without 4K content the new TiVo isn't dead but it will struggle

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin Media TV (2016) Vol 2
At launch 4K will have limited appeal so people will buy the VM box for it's many other features.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin Media TV (2016) Vol 2
Local TV: Local TV Channels Bristol, Leeds, Tyne & Wear and Cardiff rebrand as Telly McTellyface.
Made TV has posted on their web site that Made TV Channels in Bristol, Leeds, Tyne & Wear and Cardiff has been rebrand as 'Telly McTellyface’ on Virgin UK Channel 159.
http://www.madeintyneandwear.tv/pres...y-mctellyface/
Can anyone confirmed this story?

I'm not so sure about that MM, been lots of TV's sold which are 4K ready, so i'd suspect that ppl who have bought these sets will use 4K where available.
