Re: How do I upgrade online?
The inclusive upgrade for broadband speeds does not restart a minimum term contract.
If you make any other changes alongside the broadband speed change, it will likely be a new contract.

Re: How do I upgrade online?
(See my earlier post in this thread)
VM continue to annoy me, my speed upgrade from 100 to 150 was originally promised Oct last year, then Nov, Dec, then January 2016 then June 2016 a few weeks ago it's said April 2016, I checked earlier and it now say Nov 2016 to Jan 2017!
They are a load of ******* idiots.....

In my case no. For all of March the post code checker said ready now, log on to find details. No details available. Called and web chat both adamant that my area
DE73 is not ready. Now it reads
" Hold on tight
Your speed boost is coming soon…
We’ll be in touch between July 2016 and September 2016 to tell you when your speed upgrade is ready"
I'm not impressed.

Re: How do I upgrade online?
I would ignore the postcode checker to be honest, it said mine was ready in Nov last year but my account didn't agree...
It seems to me VM are trying as hard as they can to annoy their customers. I actually complained a few months ago about this and got a £10 pm reduction on my BB only service so I now pay 23.25pm for 18 months for 100mbs. I suppose I should be happy at that, but it still racks me off that their free upgrade process is such a diabolical shambles...

Re: How do I upgrade online?
yup, I have said many a time before that they would be better off not saying anything at all and just upgrading users as and when they are ready and it would be a nice surprise. Obviously it would put the PR guys out of business and VM wouldn't be able to willy wave in front of BT. I can only assume that their is a trade off between increased $$$ and **** poor customer service and that the number of new customers gained from advertising new tiers outweighs the number of customers who leave because they are sick of being lied to. You wonder what thick as **** **** works for VM and sorts this out though because they have outdone themselves this time. I thought it was bad before when they released a two year rollout plan and kept putting it back. I thought they had learnt from their mistakes this time though and wanted to go in the other direction and wow their customers when they said that 90% of the country was going to be upgraded before Christmas. I guess they just forgot to mention which Christmas it was going to be

Re: How do I upgrade online?
Out of bored interest I checked and looked at the 'offers' page for my account.
To upgrade from Talk Weekends to Talk Evenings & Weekends would be the reasonable sum of an extra £41.95 a month!

Only £41.95 extra eh? Mine said £54.74 extra the other day! I have just rechecked and they've removed it, so they've obviously spotted the error.
The guy above is quite right; an email from VM saying we have just upgraded you from 100 to 150, would be a wonderful surprise. Instead, they treat their existing customers like ****. I have been with them over 15 years now, nothing changes, my letters of complaint are becoming a regular occurrence.
Such is life..
