Re: 200m upgrade
Firstly can you log into your SH?
Remember that the hub must be powered up and stable before your PC and/or router are started.
Type 192.168.100.1 into your browser. Do you get the logon page?
If not then check to see if you've been granted a local IP address. Open cmd and type "ipconfig /all" This should report an IP something like 192.168.1.2
If you've got a logon page from the SH then click on "router status" top right and report your power levels upstream and downstream.
DS is ideally 0dBmv +/- 6dBmv RMXR > 33
US 35-50dBmv
That'll see if you're connected properly to the cables.

Likely got the Hub3 so it will all be different for logging in and finding the settings.
I use http://192.168.0.1/ to log in to my Hub3.

Re: 200m upgrade
Sounds like CS haven't activated the new hub on your account, I'd have thought they'd have checked that when you rang up but I wouldn't put it past them...
Might be worth giving the activation line a call on 0333 000 3331 and ask them to check the right hub is active on your account.

Re: 200m upgrade
Wonder if the OP didn't try auto activation like we're meant to?

Re: 200m upgrade
IIRC without activation you end up in the "walled Garden" with only a single VM page. It still "works" just no other net access.
The OP is a little vague as to what isn't actually working.

Re: 200m upgrade
I guess we wont find out if an engineer is coming today, all i know is the Hub3 is very different from previous hubs, but you do need to make that automated phone call and could wait a long while before you have access, my first install was like 30mins or so before i had internet access.

Re: 200m upgrade
Yeah the OP doesn't say if he's getting the VM page or what, but it sounds very likely it's not been activated.
It seems auto activation doesn't work too well (either in general or with the SH3) when I rang to activate mine it failed and I spoke to an English guy who said he'd had to manually activate a lot of the new SH3s.

Re: 200m upgrade
Hi all thanks for reply here is an update the engineer attended abd found that when they update box in street my connection was put onto a high point which threw my power levels out as well on my original installation years ago an atenuator was fitted and this was found to be affecting signal:
The engineer sorted this by changing cable postion in box across the street got power levels to what he wanted and he also put another atenuator in the line to get closed to power levels he wanted so hopefully no more problems.
Thanks for all the replies to my query
