TV Anywhere/Sky Sports
I use TV Anywhere and SkySports to watch general tv and Football/cricket when away from home. This is great for me but I was setting it up for my other half. She doesn't have a VM email (prefers to stay with her own account) and she has to rely on me logging her in which means I have to give her my password. This uid/pswd combination allows you access to the main account (bills etc) and also to my emails. I've nothing to hide but surely there is a way around this?
Also, On SkySports, when trying to connect the only account ID you can use is the Primary one i.e the one to access bills/email etc.
Is there a way around either of these issues of having to use primary accounts?

Re: TV Anywhere/Sky Sports
On the web based TV Anywhere you can log in using a secondary My VM account, that can be set to use a third party email address as the username.
How do people in my household use Virgin TV Anywhere?
However for the Sky websites only the primary address is accepted.
For the apps again only the primary details are accepted, but they are then remembered for quite a long time, so there isn't a constant need to know the password.
I know it's not the best experience but it's a combination of available technology and requirements from the content providers as to why it works the way it does.

Re: TV Anywhere/Sky Sports
Thanks for the info.
Are we still restricted to two devices per account given the number of people in the household and each has there own device or two.

Yes only two i'm afraid
---------- Post added at 16:33 ---------- Previous post was at 15:44 ----------
I will never understand why its only 2. I think it should be 4, as a "typical" family is of 4. So surely it should be four devices per household?!?!?!

Re: TV Anywhere/Sky Sports
It's down to the current commercial agreements. There is no technical reason why it can't / won't be extended in the future.

Its an absolute pain here and only being able to change the device once month does not work well for me as there are four of us here. I really hope VM do something about this asap. Never have any problems with netflix.

hello ducky what are you wanting to hide then
only joking.
But two devices is okay isnt it? if i have sky sports on my main tv in my sitting room. I have my cat watching my laptop upstairs watching the same match. and have a girl watching her iphone to watch the same sky sports match.
how many people more do i need to involve? couldnt i get my friends to watch said football game downstairs with me. my cat can invite stray feral cats in to watch on the laptop upstairs and my non existent girlfriend bend down in asda to broadcast the game on her iphone to the store.
i cant think of anyone else i need to broadcast to??? especially for the price of one subscription!

Re: TV Anywhere/Sky Sports
Its not that, in my case it is more if multiple people from the same household are out of the house. Which is why 4 (one for each member of a "typical household") seems reasonable number.
Sky have it with Sky go Extra...although that's an additional cost. So there is an obvious demand for it.
