Can't believe it's 29th December! I'm in the Sitting Room, French Windows wide open with the sun streaming in.

For now the sun is shinning and I refuse to worry about things that I have no control over. No doubt I will be back to being a worrywart soon enough.

I just wish the recent heavy rains hadn't caused so much havoc and hope those effected can recover some semblance of normality before any predicted bad weather hits us.

Yes the flooding is terrible for all those involved as it will be some considerable time before things are anything like back to normality again.

Working toilet again, although I do need to buy some screws tomorrow as even though it is safe to sit on, the toilet itself isn't screwed into the floor as the old ones were rusted in. So I need to buy some 2 inch screws with a fairly big head on to screw in.

Got screws, sadly as the toilet moved slightly the holes are no longer lined up with the ones in the floor. Got them a bit, now to wait for my neighbour to come back over the weekend. He'll be able to force the screws in the floor.
