Email settings issue

Hi, this is only a minor problem but hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.
When VM used Google for mail, if I deleted an email from my desk top (windows live mail), it then automatically disappeared from my iPhone and iPad. Since the change, it doesn't and I have to delete them manually from the Apple devices. I prefer it the way it used to be and would like to return to that. I have logged into my web mail account and looked at the settings but can't figure out what I need to change to go back to the good old days.
Any suggestions gratefully received, thanks.

Re: Email settings issue

You need it set up as IMAP, sounds as though you are only set up as POP3

Ok, thanks. I'll have a look at that and see if it changes anything.
