50M : Speed Upgrade Questions?

Just had the upgrade from 50Mb to 70Mb and all seems fine, best part of it for me is the boost in upload speed from 3Mb to 5Mb.

Ours has been in place for the last couple of weeks and on a torrent saturated link I was getting a solid 73M down and 5.3 M up. As you say the improved uplink speed is quite welcome.

Hmm, mine has disappeared from myvirginmedia page since renegotiating a new price on my package

Now it says

That makes sense. You negotiated a new package. Current packages can only contain current, order able broadband speeds - 50, 100 or 200.

70 and 150 are only available as free upgrades for existing 50 and 100 customers.

You are a 'new', not 'old', 50 customer, having re-negotiated your package.

I suppose that makes sense but i asked during the call if i could get the boost to 70 right now and was told i'd have to wait for it to be done in January. Not once was it mentioned that i'd no longer get it just because i was recontracting on the exact same package.

Just upgraded to 150 from 100. New hub etc. Very pleased with this:
