Re: World of Warships MMO

Can't say I'm a fan. I tried it after remembering a very fun game in Battlestations: Midway and it's sequel pacific but I had my expectations based on those and thus didn't get into World of Warships. It's got the typical pay for items that world of tanks has and so forth. It's got a massive base though and progression system, Battlestations had neither of these.

I'd love a game similar to battlestations though if one could be found.

Re: World of Warships MMO

I've played world of tanks for about 6 years now, I was also the beta tester for world of warships and still play it now. The game hasn't been out that long.

It's a free game to play might as well give it a go see if you like it. there are pay to play elements of the like premium ships and premium accounts giving you a bit more xp and coins after a battle.

Re: World of Warships MMO

Ive kind of been put off by MMOs to be honest. Im a big Trekkie and Startrek Online was meant to be the bees knees but it was really let down by the controls they were near impossible to get a grip of and since then ive been put off.

Re: World of Warships MMO

Some MMO's take time to get to peak performance from yourself.

I'm a massive WoW player and have been for many years now. Way back to Burning Crusade. For the first half a year I felt absolutely rubbish. I eventually got every single control hardwired into my brain as is natural with months of playtime. It's since got ridiculously easy for newer players but I'd be considered a Veteran, it helped me top the SWC leaderboards for PVP over 2 months

I have achievements in that game I never thought even possible for myself to hit. There's always something to learn though. Always.

If you can throw time at it then give the game a try, if you actually enjoy it, never put it off due to controls or it just being hard, MMO's aren't meant to be a five minute play, they're meant to keep you learning and forever evolving whilst you experience it. Just stick at it.

Re: World of Warships MMO

startrek online went down hill when it went free to play. I paid for it when it first came out, although the game is way too repetitive
