Grant Shapps resigns.
Quote:
Grant Shapps has quit as international development minister amid allegations of bullying in the Conservative Party, the BBC understands.
Claims have engulfed the Tories following the apparent suicide in September of activist Elliot Johnson.
Mr Johnson's father had called on Mr Shapps, a former party chairman, to resign over claims he ignored repeated warnings about the actions of party youth organiser Mark Clarke.

Re: Grant Shapps resigns.
Workplace bullying is unacceptable under any circumstances. I'm not sure that resignation is sufficient.

Re: Grant Shapps resigns.
I believe that bullies are ****, they ruin peoples lives. And if it happens in any political party, then action must be taken.
I am surprised that Cameron didn't sack him to show him is a true leader. Maybe he didn't have the guts as all Tories stick together.
Its like my grandson is being bullied at school. And what is the school doing, or the education dept. doing. They moved him to another school where it started again.
And schools claim it doesn't happen. Put it this way, l was bullied at school when l was 15, l am now a great 63 years old. And we hear it going on even now in schools today
So how the hell is it going to stop

It's just impossible for you to get through the post without throwing an anti-tory jibe in there somewhere.
The rest of your post is spot on.

Re: Grant Shapps resigns.
He's been involved in attempted cover ups before, his murky involvement shouldn't come as a surprise. Good riddance.

Re: Grant Shapps resigns.
Has the extent to which he knew about or was/wasn't directly involved in anything nasty actually been determined yet? If not, some of the criticism may be a tad premature.

Re: Grant Shapps resigns.
To be honest I think he was picked to be the one to fall on his sword..I suspect that it goes a lot further up the hierarchy that didn't deal with matters before they got to this point..

Nothing wrong with a bit of anti-tory jibe, we are not all Con voters.
