So VM are lying to people? ASA here we come!.
It does seem all very odd. I've just rejoined Virgin after being away for about 4 years so wasn't really sure what to expect from it.

I'll see if anything does happen.

Re: How do I upgrade online?

Well if you have nothing in the Order tracking part then it won't

The are still putting as many people as they can onto a network which does not seem to have been upgraded much. Or that's how it seems from my point of view. I am sure I am wrong and I am sure I will be told so but. 9mbps most evenings is something I wont be told I am wrong about. I know I saw it, I was there when I was looking at it. (screenshots also back me up)

I did manage to go from 50>200 for the extra £12 however it was so dire I got about 9 in the evenings. It's fast at 3am when I need to be sleeping.

Manilla said no - Glasgow said yes it was going through on the website. Manilla told me my area was not ready yet. Maybe for one off shore was right? it was shocking to say the least.

But it's only £12 more for 4x the speed (when it works) so what the hell

Re: How do I upgrade online?

No nothing in the order section.

I'm not that bothered just now having gone from an adsl BB speed of 7mb. I'm consistently getting at least 53mb now so if I have to wait a bit for 70mb I'll manage.

Re: How do I upgrade online?

Well yes it's a massive improvement I agree It'll be 70/5 according to the thresholds. I lost my rag and called up and upgraded back to 200. It's very little per month more and i'll just have to download at night to get full speed. it's on about 132 right now but will drop to next to nothing before the night is out before it picks up. It is a backup/res use line after all

Re: How do I upgrade online?

Blimey! Maybe I should have waited for mine lol that looks good

I am getting what I should be getting this morning

http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4816865592

But if that stays around 74 all the time I might just go back to 50 and re apply for the upgrade

Haven't had any word from Virgin other than the first one from Saturday confirming the order.

I am expecting it to. Previous speed tests were always over 53mb.

Well yes that's well beyond the expected time. It does seem to be the 48 hours is actually when it changes (and the portal changes after the config does) so maybe do a reboot before you call them just to be sure.

Yes this is what I am now concerned about for my area. After 4PM it goes to under 74 and come 9 it's under 20. I can only really use it then from 9am-12pm on a weekday. For the sake of the extra £12.25 a month if 74 is going to be solid then it would be worth having that and then It can actually be used in the evenings. 50 did used to dip to about 40 but it was not very often. It's better to have something stable at 50/70 in the evenings than something superfast in the few hours I am around in the morning but then rubbish when I get home.

Re: How do I upgrade online?

My speed boost finally went through today, I ordered on Thursday 2pm and it took almost 4 days, MyVM hasn't been updated to reflect the new speed on our account though.

Re: How do I upgrade online?

Mine was supposed to be by the end of October, then the end of November. Now it's the end of December. So should I expect it by the middle of next year?
