Russia and Qatar should have not got it in the first place but alas give a few million here and a few million there and Bobs your uncle.

The richest game in the world appears to also be the most corrupt. Strange how that works out.
Keep forking out on the TV subs, strips and tickets to feed the beast people

Re: Blatter presides over new FIFA crisis
At long last the sponsors are starting to show their frustration with Blatter's antics and FIFA's intransigence:
Quote:
Fifa president Sepp Blatter will not resign despite major sponsors Coca-Cola, Visa, Budweiser and McDonald's calling for him to go immediately.
The four each issued statements saying Blatter should quit after Swiss criminal proceedings were opened against him last week.
Coca-Cola took the first step, saying: "Every day that passes Fifa's image and reputation continues to tarnish."
McDonald's said Blatter going would be "in the best interest of the game".

These corporations have been about as decisive as the EU.

Sepp is like Bernie, both should have gone at 70 years old, they are old fools who need putting in a home.

Finally, someone has the cojones to separate Blatter from the office shredder.

I can't help thinking that football would be a lot better off without the likes of Blatter and Platini.

Here are the 8 people interested in becoming FIFA president. Look at some of the job titles in there
I'd give David Nakhid the chance to be fair. It's about time they had someone that's actually played the game, hasn't been suspended, isn't constantly accused of corruption and isn't from a from one of Europe's Elite footballing nations.

Suspended Fifa president Sepp Blatter has suggested there was an agreement in place for Russia to host the 2018 World Cup - before the vote took place.
The 79-year-old told Russian news agency Tass of a "discussion" in 2010 about future World Cups.
He added a late swing in voting that gave Qatar the 2022 World Cup undid a similar agreement to hand it to the US.
The Swiss is serving a 90-day ban alongside Uefa chief Michel Platini and both deny any wrongdoing.
Asked whether it was a mistake to hold voting for the 2018 and 2022 tournaments simultaneously, Blatter replied that before the ballot: "It was agreed inside the group that we go to Russia because it has never been to eastern Europe, and for 2022 we go back to America.
"And so we would have the World Cup in the two biggest political powers."
But he added that four votes from Europe later switched from the USA to Qatar.

All very cozy... Why bother voting at all eh?
