Re: TalkTalk website hit by cyber-attack

If people have foolishly used the same password there as elsewhere than they only have themselves to blame.

I have over 80 logins and thay all have vastly different cryptic passwords.

It's supposed to be a DDOS attack but that on it's own should not have compromised clients data. As suggested in the first link it may have been a smokescreen for a more devious attack.

Why does clicking on one of the FAQ's take you completely away from the page and you can't get back?

I bet you have them all written down on a piece of paper. so if someone did get that piece of paper with over 80 logins. then you'd only have yourself to blame for keeping them all together

The telecoms giant warned that the stolen customer data may not have been securely encrypted and that it had received a ransom demand from someone who claimed to have carried out the corporate hack.
