Hello i think i live in the same area as you, did your area show the upgrade time? If i log into My Virgin Media it doesn't give me any info on availability, but if i go through the process of opening a new account using a random neighbours address it gives me the option of upto 200mb broadband.

Try the postcode checker on VM's site. If it shows 200Mbps is available then just ring up and ask to be upgraded.

Re: 200 Meg broadband advice.

I went to upgrades and offers on my account while 200 meg isn't available till Jan-mar next year I can upgrade now for a fee

Upgrade from an extra £1.61 a month*
Ongoing cost
£85.74
Virgin Phone line @ £16.99
Included
Installation
£49.95

This will give me unlimited landline calls and 200meg...they always want that bit extra. I never use the landline so happy with just weekends. I'm not paying a £50 installation charge either so not sure what all that is about

The price rise has already been announced so you may as well get the upgrade.

OR

Downgrade to the 100Mb package (less money) and wait for that to upgrade to 150Mb.

Win Win.

Re: 200 Meg broadband advice.

What Superhub version are VM sending out as part of the VIVD Update.
I am guessing it might depend on the current stock levels of Superhub's between the 2/2AC?

Sorry, not aware there is a time limit answering someone's query, I know better now.

This thread is named 200 meg broadband "Advice". It may or may not been covered many times elsewhere, if hifi2007 doesn't know it, may be other people might not know it or has been given erroneous information by customer support. At least on this thread, no one has really confirm it with customers support.

Making fun of legitimate replies to queries only devalues the quality of this forum.
