Wolverhampton

"Your speed upgrade will be ready to take your connection from up to 100Mbps to up to 150Mbps. It's all thanks to DOCSIS® 3 - the magic in our cables.
Look out for it between January 2016 and March 2016."

Wow!! we're usually the last on the list for speed upgrades :o

220000000 bps down, 12700000 bps up. A miniscule upload boost, previously it was 12600000 bps up.

8 downstream channels and 2 upstream, same as before. IP Address stayed the same too.

Re: Virgin Media 70, 150 & 200 Mb Upgrades

My shub1 worked fine at 200Mbps in the trial over the summer (modem mode), but apparently now for the 'free upgrade' to 150Mbps, which is already available in my area

Do I need new equipment?
Yes. To make the most of those new speeds, we're upgrading your hardworking Hub too. So stand by for the arrival of a shiny new Super Hub. We'll deliver it straight to your door within a few days of placing your order for your speed upgrade. There's a postage and packing charge of £5.99 which will be added to your next bill.
I'll wait to see if anything comes out of the hardware trial...

Your speed boost is on the way...

Your connection speed will increase from up to 50Mbps to up to 70Mbps broadband. It's all thanks to DOCSIS® 3 - the magic in our cables.
Due to a technical glitch we can't tell you exactly when to expect your speed boost. We're fixing that now, so please check back later.

Tinker Bell is AWOL then.

PS VM My profile has gone back to being broken again, oh well it worked for a few days.

Where would have been the opt-in button anyway?

Re: Virgin Media 70, 150 & 200 Mb Upgrades

'My Virgin Media' says I will be ready to receive 200Mb by the end of November. A post code search using different house numbers is offering 200Mb packages as of now.

I had an outage today resulting in a change of upstream channels from 3 and 4 to 1 and 4, but with no change in settings.

Just tried. They lied to me and said 200Mb isn't available in my street until the end of November.

Edit......
I just tried again. A chap called Dan said,
" I apologise for the inconvenience. As you are an existing customer, we will need to replace some existing cables for you to get that speed."

New cables really tbh i doubt i will be allowed to stay on 200mbps last time i upgraded early they dropped me down the lower tier because there where issues with the local network if they do that i will downgrade to the 100 meg service to get 152 meg and save some money.

My SuperHub picked up its 200Mb config file this evening. Check it out:

What can I do with all this bandwidth?
