Super Hub with Powerline Problems

I have had a SuperHub for about 5 years now without any real problems (apart from poor wi-fi signal ) and have been using Netgear Powerline Adaptors successfully since.
About 3 months ago the powerline signal disappeared from the adaptors making them useless. Thinking this was a fault with the adaptors I recently bought a set of TP-LINK Powerline adaptors only to find that they do not work either
Is this a fault with the Super Hub ?
I am using the Super Hub in router mode and the Ethernet cable from the adaptor shows a steady yellow light at the Super Hub end

Any help would be appreciated

Re: Super Hub with Powerline Problems

Very strange. Has anything changed on your electrical circuit? Have you tried a different port on the SuperHub?

Re: Super Hub with Powerline Problems

I've tried all the ports with the same effect and there has been no change in my electrics

Re: Super Hub with Powerline Problems

I'd try turning everything off (shub, powerline and pc), give it 10 minutes or so, then turn shub back on, then powerline, then pc).

I've had different (still unresolved) problems with shub 2 myself, it's a bit flakey IMHO.

Edit, i'm guessing you have shub 1 but same advice applies.

Re: Super Hub with Powerline Problems

Thanks for your reply - I followed your instructions and the powerline light went on for about 10 secs. then went off again
I'll get in touch with Virgin to see if I can get a replacement SuperHub

Re: Super Hub with Powerline Problems

Have you tried re-pairing the powerline adapters?

Re: Super Hub with Powerline Problems

Did you plug the Power-line adapters into wall socket or Extension lead?

Also, what time duration did you use for pairing the units?

I usually prefer 1 sec for pairing most of TP-link adapters.
