19. Existing Virgin Media broadband customers who have not opted out of the Virgin Media WiFi service and all Virgin Mobile customers will be able to access the services by configuring their device using their existing Virgin Media password to sign in to access the services. Mobile users can access the service by way of the Virgin Media WiFi application. This will use details from the Mobile SIM card to access to service.

Nothing in the T&C's about excluding anybody who is in Modem Mode is there ? According to that you just have to have not opted out and be a BB customer.
I've no real objection to sharing but I certainly won't be using my SH1 in router mode.

Good point. BT users can share their credentials with multiple non-BT customers if they choose, yet you don't see "scroungers" latching on everywhere and taking down the network.
In any case, 2.4Ghz only, in crowded urban areas, and through several walls, isn't going to achieve "broadband" speeds most of the time anyway.

Agreed, think people are over reacting here and missing the point. As a subscriber to Wi-Fi you can go where you want and get Wi-Fi access including those Wi-Fi locations VM provide.
I really don't see people "camping" outside my house to use relatively "slow" Wi-Fi or even my neighbours who through several walls would get a poor performance by comparison to my 100MB (soon to be) service.
Think what you may get, not what the occasional passing user may get from your VM SH.
And if you do get multiple users using your SH, just turn it off for 5 minutes! That will get rid of them!!

Re: FAQ on Virgin Media's WiFi Sharing
I don't think you're even going to notice them on your connection.

If they have an advanced network and expect to have any chance of getting any form of mobile VOIP to work that'll just make them roam onto the neighbours superhub and back to yours as soon as you turn it back on.

Not sure, I checked my Shub firmware last night and it was still the same.
Does it need a firmware update for this WiFi sharing ?

Well they wouldn't have wanted to replicate the modem mode firmware fault on the SH2ac, would they?

Re: FAQ on Virgin Media's WiFi Sharing
Does anybody know the exact details as to how a VM broadband user will be able to access WiFi sharing using a non-VM mobile? Or will you just have to wait until VM sends you an e-mail explaining how you do this?

Is there a version number to see if mine's been updated?
