Routers for modem mode on a budget
Alright I'm looking to go modem mode at some point as fed up of superhub issues around WiFi and few other things so I'm just looking for a router for about £50 to do what I need I've seen a few that would do my needs netgear,home hub Linksys and belkin but wasn't sure

I've had 2 Belkins in the past and didn't have a problem with either. Con't comment on that one though.

I looked at cheaper one can't decided between tp link c5 , or belkin ac1200 both exactly what I need

Personally, I'd go for the C5 and put DD-WRT on it.
The choice is yours though.

I have a stock C7 that works very well. Looked at DD-WRT but AFAIK it doesn't utilise the hardware NAT.

Last time I alter firmware on anything I brick it but I'll look into it

You don't need to change the firmware, I just like the advanced settings available with dd-wrt.
It was a purely personal point of view.
