RIP Cilla Black.
Shocked to hear that Cilla has died. She was my contemporary and has always been there, a talented lady, an entertainer who just kept on entertaining.
RIP Cilla. My thoughts go out to all your family and friends.

The word legend used too often when people die. In the case of Cilla though, the word legend is not enough to describe her.

When my wife and l heard about Cilla, we were both devastated.
Some 38 years ago, l contacted Cilla Black, and put through to her very large fan club.
This how we both met, and we will always treasure our memories of this brilliant Liverpool lass.
I have a funny feeling that Liverpool will grind to a halt on the day of her funeral.
She was the girl that brought us the sixties, and she was a normal working class girl who brought smiles to everyone.
