For £3 extra p/m according to vms forums aka link mm posted letters are going out today.
Imo vm should split xl in two packs maybe have a xl version for those who want HD but not the bt sports at and one that includes bt sport maybe they could be call xl and xl plus.

Isn't the bill increase just your token 6 month bend over and get done in? We've had many 3 quid increases without any new channels or additional services? Or are they wording it that this time it's increasing due to BT sport Europe?

I doubt they would ever do that theone, I imagine BT only agree to this deal because of the number of XL customer subs VM have all together. If the XL pack is split in two, I also imagine that many people would not take the sport option as they would have no interest and the number of sub payments BT could potentially get may well dwindle, and the deal may not be beneficial for BT.
On a side note (to all posters) - if VM, are seemingly happy to charge XL custmers an extra £3 for BT Europe, and IIRC £2 for BT Sport 1+2, I wonder why they do not get now SA. Surely Sky can not be asking for more than £3/£5 per customer? I know BT sports are a unique selling point, but Atlantic would probably please more people and entice more people over to the good side (even though I am still not overly impressed with SA.)

id imagine its a marketing issue with vm trying to brag about having all the sports. its a different advertisement campaign really. if you want atlantic you could get sky. if you want all the sport in one package its vm. its a unique selling point. not that im agreeing with their strategy!

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2015) Vol. 2
Sky do not charge anything for BT as they don't offer it at all.
You have to go to BT to get BT Sports on your Sky Box.
It is around £5pm extra for the new Europe channel - so it works out about £20pm if you don't have other BT services.

Plusnets bt sport price is also rising from £5.99p/m to £9.99p/m from next month that's almost 100% increase.

Maybe m could become S, m+ become M, L and XL the same and XL+ could be XXL

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2015) Vol. 2
Seems like a mixed bag news day for you VM TV guys. Good news for all the footy fans who are happy to get BT Sport Europe in the XL TV pack and bad news for every XL TV customer (especially non footy fans) that there will be yet another price rise of £3.
Will that be 3 price rises within 6 months for those with XL TV and Sky Premiums? I appreciate 1 was due to Sky but still pretty harsh.

I think Harry was suggesting how much Sky might offer to sell Sky Atlantic to VM for, not BT Sport.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2015) Vol. 2
OK - I have Sky Atlantic here and it never lived up to the hype.
The channel I watch most on Sky which is not on VM is Universal HD.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2015) Vol. 2
I don't watch sport, and I defo won't be paying £3 for something I do not watch, if they don't sadly I'll be downgrading TV, broadband, and phone and remove a box.

It's a smack in the face for non sports fans, who've been funding free premium sport for too long anyway.
For non sports fans, for those who are prepared to do it, cutting the cord is the way to go. Vote with your wallet and deprive VM of some TV income.
