Not that good value for us as we get most of the channels anyway, but I think that this is the only solution available for us now.

Or you could just buy a Now TV box for £10/15.

No thanks, I just want it as a streaming service on VM. Why should we have to pay for a box???!

Isn't that the point of a business though to make money?
If businesses made no money there'd be no company, no jobs and no tv, too many people these days want something for nothing.

Nowtv is never going to be on this generation of tivo, tivo struggles with netflix so nowtv would be useless on it.

People want value but they don't like to be ripped off which is happening increasingly.

Nowtv isn't even on Samsung smart tvs and they are one of the most popular and biggest brands so chances of it being on tivo are zilch at the moment.
Even youview boxes only have the movies from now tv.

Imho football has ruined pay tv the money spent on it is ridicolous.
But people want the football, companies pay stupid money for it and the consumer suffers as a result, then you get those wanting everything for nothing.

Well, you can get Now TV on a Roku or via a smart TV, so in my opinion there's no reason why this can't also be a streaming service on VM.
If it doesn't come to pass, it's because VM don't want it!

As I've pointed out they are in no way similar , VM sell the Sky channels in it's own packages and you pay them for it , why would they want to add Now TV and let people subscribe to the same channels but direct with Sky.
Never going to happen.

To put this in a simple way vm already carry the channels available on nowtv (except for sky atlantic), it just would make any sense business wise for vm to have nowtv on their tivo.

Had you said the BBC I-Player, I'd have agreed with you. The constant buffering is really annoying.
However the TiVo seems to cope perfectly with Netflix (at least on my box) although it does take about a minute to load initially. Once in, however, it is fine.

Well, in the end, I guess it depends on whether VM want to give their customers what they want.

ITV Encore and he Sky box sets are on there as well.
VM don't have to pay anything if they just present Now TV as a subscription based service.

Sorry, MM, but that argument doesn't stack up! We pay Netflix directly, don't we?

Works well on my LG however I still tend to use the smart TV and not the Tivo box for Netflix ( sub is via netflix not Virgin so I have the choice)

Most of the channels on Now TV are available to VM customers in its various TV packages as is the Sky catch up why would VM want you to have access to this content cheaper and with their customer having a direct relationship with Sky.
If you can't see that I'm afraid I give up.
