Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2015)
What sort of charge will Virgin make for BB only, I mean would you still get it for the price that you have just now? Obviously depends on which speed you want. The point I'm trying to make is this, is BB cheaper if you have the TV and phone service as part of a full package?

Bb is cheaper as part of a package. On its own, the 50mb bb is £28. The standalone prices are on the VM website, I looked the other day. Hope it helps!

They wouldn't offer me anything to stay, so now I'm with Sky.

I just wonder if, at a commercial level, VM are well aware of the Sky half-price offers and have decided they'll go so-far to compete on price with some customers but ultimately aren't willing to "retain" at all costs.
I recall an occasion several years ago when my wife (before I had third party account access) tried to negotiate our package - she said the agent knew full well that BT broadband couldn't touch VM for speed in our area and so there was much less discounting being offered as a result.

I would tend to agree, VM have done a lot to keep my business over the years, with plenty of discounts given. I think I must be at the point where they will take a loss if they offer me more. Having paid my line rental upfront, I am only paying £18 for my TiVo box and 50mb broadband - which is incredibly reliable too.
